Photo Taking Instructions
To ensure the best results with our ID Photo Editor, please
follow these guidelines when taking your photo:
Clothing and Appearance
-
Wear solid-colored clothing that contrasts with the
background. Avoid patterns, stripes, or busy designs.
- Make sure your clothes are neat and wrinkle-free.
-
Style your hair so that it doesn't cover your face or cast
shadows on it.
-
If you wear glasses, check the requirements for your
specific ID photo. Some documents may require you to remove
them.
-
Avoid wearing heavy makeup or jewelry that could distract
from your facial features.
Lighting
-
Use natural light whenever possible. Avoid harsh shadows or
overly bright light.
-
If using indoor lighting, make sure it's evenly distributed
across your face.
Positioning
- Face the camera directly, looking straight ahead.
- Keep your head centered in the frame.
- Maintain a neutral expression (no smiling).
- Avoid tilting your head or shoulders.
-
Maintain a distance of about 2-3 feet (60-90 cm) from the
camera.
Background
-
Choose a plain, light-colored background (white or off-white
is ideal).
-
Ensure there are no objects or shadows in the background.
Other Tips
-
Use a high-resolution camera for the best image quality.
-
Take multiple photos to ensure you have options to choose
from.
