Clothing and Appearance

• Wear solid-colored clothing that contrasts with the background. Avoid patterns, stripes, or busy designs.
• Make sure your clothes are neat and wrinkle-free.
• Style your hair so that it doesn't cover your face or cast shadows on it.
• If you wear glasses, check the requirements for your specific ID photo. Some documents may require you to remove them.
• Avoid wearing heavy makeup or jewelry that could distract from your facial features.

Lighting

• Use natural light whenever possible. Avoid harsh shadows or overly bright light.
• If using indoor lighting, make sure it's evenly distributed across your face.

Positioning

• Face the camera directly, looking straight ahead.
• Keep your head centered in the frame.
• Maintain a neutral expression (no smiling).
• Avoid tilting your head or shoulders.
• Maintain a distance of about 2-3 feet (60-90 cm) from the camera.

Background

• Choose a plain, light-colored background (white or off-white is ideal).
• Ensure there are no objects or shadows in the background.
